The Plans That Guide YZD
Transforming YZD means planning for the long term. The 370-acre former Downsview Airport lands are part of a larger, coordinated effort with Canada Lands on a 520-acre Framework Plan. You can visit id8Downsview.ca to learn more about this collaboration and the work that has shaped the overall vision for the site.
The Framework Plan will guide the future development of these lands. It forms the basis of the City-led Update Downsview: the Downsview Area Secondary Plan, approved in August 2024. More details on the City-led process can be found here.
